β-Alanine is an amino acid which is a precursor of carnosine, increasing its concentration in muscle cells.Carnosine increases muscle buffer capacity and raises the threshold of anaerobic (lactate threshold), delaying the occurrence of fatigue and muscle damage, can substantially increase the efficiency of muscle and volume of work.
